About Sphere Budo
Sphere Budo is a home for objects and ideas shaped by creativity, form, and the spirit of Budo. Our BUDO sculptures bring a distinctive sculptural presence to a shelf, desk, or display space. They are designed for people who enjoy collecting pieces that invite a closer look and start a conversation.
The person behind the ideas
I was born in Singapore, and writing has been an important part of my life since I was 21. It became a way to follow my curiosity beyond the everyday: to imagine possible futures, explore new ideas, and think about how change might reshape the world around us. My writing is a place where I can give those thoughts room to grow and find a voice of their own.
I have always valued the freedom to create for myself and the determination to build a life that feels true to who I am. That path has included the loss of family, but also the warmth of new friendships. Those experiences have stayed with me. They remind me that a life is shaped not only by what we hope to make, but by the people and connections we find along the way.
My outlook is guided by vision, careful consideration, and a wish to be mindful in everyday life. I like to give an idea time, look at it from more than one angle, and ask what it might mean before bringing it into the world. That thoughtful, independent spirit connects my writing with the creative ideas behind Sphere Budo.
Little Orient
Little Orient is a piece of art I developed over time. It grew from my desire to give an idea a visible form, revisiting and refining it as my vision became clearer. For me, creating art is another way of exploring the same questions that draw me to writing: what we notice, what we imagine, and what we choose to bring into being.

Little Orient, developed over time as part of my creative work.
From Spheramid to BUDO
The Spheramid game was my inspiration for BUDO. Its arrangement of spheres gave me a starting point for thinking about form in a new way, and that idea grew into the BUDO designs. For me, it is a reminder that one creative project can lead to another: a game can spark a sculptural idea, and an idea can keep developing over time.

The Spheramid game, the inspiration for BUDO.
The BUDO collection
Explore the BUDO designs to find the form and finish that suits your space. Each piece is produced with our printing partner, JS Additive. We are working with them to confirm production details and the finish of each design, so please refer to the individual product page for the current options and order information.
PHILLO books
PHILLO is our separate books project. It sits alongside the BUDO collection as another way to explore ideas and storytelling, but books and sculptures are different offerings. Visit the Books section to see what is currently available.
